The short version of my story is that I was a life long Marine, officer and enlisted. I was a Drum Corps fan in high school. During my many travels I began to be interested in hand painted, Miniature Antique Toy Soldiers.
I thought they were great but I didn't need the English Coldstream Guards. I thought the same type of figure could be made for the modern day Drum and Bugle Corps Activity. I mean the current activity is an off shoot of the age old units and bands, isn't it?
With that thought in mind a went about training my self on the Who, What, When, and How of the production process. Four years after my research began, I produced my 1st figure of the SCV Bottle Dance. Little did I know then that the real challenge was purely a logistical one.
I went on the road selling at shows during the summers of 1999, 2000,and 2001. After Sept 11th, 2001 I was recalled to active duty for 2 1/2 years. I have been slowly putting everything back together after several years of inactivity. I began selling on the internet and my website again in 2008.
This summer I am going to attend a few shows and look forward t inceasing that amount in 2012. Since 2009 I have been attending college to get another degree or two.
